We’re playing the open mic at Busboys and Poets tonight (the one on 14th and V NW) - so come out and get your Hummusy love on!
René’s going to be playing as well, and there’s always banging poetry going on. Get excited, promptly.

Tonight we’ll be playing two open mics - Robin and Aaron will be at 18th Amendment in Capitol heights, and Will is going down to the Soundry near Jammin’ Java.
This is will’s first solo performance, performing capoeira songs with a berimbau! It will most likely be filled with terrible singing. Go for moral support or to laugh - but enjoy the PB&J’s either way!
Robin and Aaron will be performing some originals, jeff buckley covers, and whatever else strikes their fancy. Stop by and give an ‘allo to Aaron before he heads off to Seattle tomorrow!

One of us loves the “Wild Sanctuary” recordings, so we thought it would be funny to do a spoof. Not just any spoof, though - had to throw in some Camp Crystal Lake love.
Big up to Wild Sanctuary, and SoundDogs.com for the sound effects.

We’re playing an acoustic show at the Red and the Black on Tuesday (Feb 16th). We’ll be covering Bluish by Animal Collective as well as new acoustic versions of originals, so get excited!
We’ll then be furiously dancing to euro-trance-disco afterwards in the parking lot. Get excited again.

tVS - Sketch #3 - Will gets a loop pedal!
We purchased a new loop pedal for upcoming Animal Collective covers and a bunch of new heavily ‘orchestrated’/layered originals. We’ll be posting updates on the originals here soon!

the Very Small - Undressed! A special acoustic performance by the Very Small with Sideways Reign.
Yes, we got naked. Just for you.
More of the photos to come!
I was invited to play at Chief Ike’s Mambo Room in Adam’s Morgan with Flo Anito - decided to perform the newly written acoustic version of what was once affectionately dubbed “Rhythm Sauce”. Here it is for your listening enjoyment, “A Doubt”.
I played at Chief Ike’s Mambo Room in Adams Morgan. It was a great place with great musicians, Flo Anito, Jon Heintz and Rachel Levitin. Thanks to James, Leigh, Jesse, and others who came out! Jon and his friend Tim were running sound (which, by the way, sounded great for a small bar). I played some TVS songs acoustic as a preamble to our upcoming acoustic show “the Very Small Undressed” happening in a couple weeks at The Red and The Black.
love,
